These unique carpets come from the Kayseri area in central Anatolia, Turkey. They are made by hand with great attention to detail, using a blend of wool and cotton that represents the Turkish tradition of hand-knotted carpets. The carpet designs in this region vary from simple geometric patterns to complex floral and medallion motifs.

Vintage Turkish Rugs are produced over 40 - 70 years old and traditional hand-knotted Turkish rugs. They are wool on cotton rugsEach one them carefully selected, cleaned, and washed. The original patterns are kept. Their original color was neutralized and used special washing techniques to change the carpet's original color shades. After that process, they look more pastel and natural looking. Traditional-looking carpets transform into retro and contemporary styles.

All our vintage rugs are professionally cleaned before we add them to our inventory.

Large Area Rugs Fitting Areas

Large area rugs can be used in various areas of a home to define spaces, add warmth, and create visual interest. Avoid choosing a rug that is too small or too large for the space. When selecting a rug, consider the size of the room and the furniture. They are commonly used in living rooms to anchor the seating area or to cover a significant portion of the floor, providing comfort and style. In the dining room, they can add elegance and sophistication. When it comes to dining spaces, placing a large area rug under the table and chairs can define the area, add visual appeal, and create a cohesive look while offering cushioning underfoot. In larger bedrooms, a large area rug can cover a substantial part of the floor space, providing a soft surface to walk on and adding a cozy element to the room. For open floor plans, consider using area rugs to define different zones and create a sense of separation between spaces. Homes with open floor plans often have different areas, such as the living room, dining room, and kitchen, flowing together. A large area rug can help define specific zones within the open space. In family rooms or dens, large area rugs can create a central gathering area, providing comfort and style for various activities.
