Product Description

Moldavian Kilim Rugs are a unique type of European kilim, made from flat-woven textiles, primarily using wool on wool with occasional small segments using cotton. They stand out due to their distinctive colour scheme, mainly consisting of two colours: black and various brown shades. This is achieved by using natural goat hair color and the nuanced hues of sheep's wool. The main colour is left undyed, but dyes are used for complex patterns, creating a striking contrast.

Moldavan Kilim Rugs are popular for their alluring designs of flowers and medallions. The mix of natural hues and delicate dye-work produces a pleasant visual effect that gives these rugs a unique quality, showcasing their European heritage and artistic flair.

Living Room Rugs Fitting Areas

Centered under the seating area: Placing a rug in the center of the living room, underneath the main seating arrangement (such as a sofa and chairs), can anchor the space and define the seating area. Ensure that the rug is large enough to encompass the furniture, or at least the front legs of the seating pieces. Partially under furniture: If you have a larger rug, you might position it to cover part of the seating area, with the front legs of the furniture on the rug and the back legs off. This creates a cozy, unified look while still showcasing the flooring around the edges of the rug.
